
Super Falcons of Nigeria maintained the 36th position in the latest women’s world ranking by the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA).
FIFA released the latest women’s ranking on its official website on Friday, December 13 and Nigeria retained their position after recording two wins in the period under review.
The 9-time African champions defeated the Green Ladies of Algeria 2-0 and 4-1 respectively in a two-legged friendly but lost 2-1 to Les Bleues of France in another friendly.
The Falcons are also top in Africa. African champions Banyana Banyana of South are second with Morocco, Zambia and Ghana completing the top five on the continent.
The USA retained top spot in the world, while world champions Spain moved to second position.
Germany moved to third position, while England dropped to fourth.
